Sawyer Soft Cam Buckle Oar Tethers provide a simple, dependable way to secure your oars if they come out of the oarlock. Unlike traditional ring-style tethers, the adjustable soft loop slips over the oar blade and cinches around the shaft, allowing installation without removing the blade. This makes them compatible with one-piece wood oars, Sawyer SquareTop Oars, and most composite oars.
Constructed from heavy-weight polypropylene webbing, each tether features a durable nickel-plated ring for the oarlock end, an adjustable soft loop for the oar, and a metal cam buckle positioned at the center of the tether. The cam buckle provides a strong, adjustable and quick-release connection. The soft webbing design also helps reduce noise compared to traditional ring-style tether systems.
This version features Sawyer's most durable disconnect system with a rugged metal cam buckle for long-term reliability and demanding river use. Sold in pairs. Fits most wood and composite oars, including Sawyer SquareTop Oars. Inspect before each use and replace any tether showing excessive wear or damage.
