Description

Sawyer Ring Oar Tethers provide a dependable way to keep your oars attached to your boat if they come out of the oarlock. This classic ring-style design is intended for composite oars with removable blades, allowing the tether to be installed by sliding the rings onto the shaft before the blade is reinstalled.

Each tether is constructed from heavy-weight polypropylene webbing with durable nickel-plated rings at each end and a plastic quick-release buckle positioned at the center. The quick-release buckle allows the tether to be quickly connected to your boat's rigging when needed, while metal snaps keep excess webbing neatly secured during use.

Ring-style oar tethers require a removable oar blade for installation and are not recommended for one-piece wood oars or oars with permanently attached blades. Sold in pairs. Inspect before each use and replace any tether showing excessive wear or damage.

Materials & Construction

The Sawyer Ring Oar Tethers are made from heavy-weight polypropylene webbing that delivers excellent strength, flexibility, and resistance to water absorption. The woven Sawyer logo provides a distinctive finish while maintaining the durability needed for river use.

Nickel-plated steel rings provide long-lasting attachment points at each end of the tether. A plastic quick-release buckle, positioned at the center, allows the tether to be quickly disconnected from the boat's rigging without removing it from the oar. Two metal snaps secure excess webbing to help reduce tangles and keep the tether organized.
