Optimized for smaller rafts and drift boats, the STUBBY Woody Polecat Oar combines a 6” shorter blade with a 6” longer shaft—maintaining total oar length while improving balance and reducing the need for counterweights. This configuration enhances performance in tighter water and lighter boats, giving you quicker response and better control.
The fiberglass Polecat oar shaft delivers a lightweight, durable swing, while the Stubby Lam-Fir Blade is built to withstand the rigors of whitewater. Its solid laminated fir core is reinforced with Northern Ash edges and a metal spline in the tip for added impact resistance. Each blade comes finished with our ProTip Dynel/Kevlar protection and is secured using the TiteSet Blade Lock system—a rock-solid connection compatible with Polecat, MXS, and most composite shafts.
