Sawyer DyneLite XD MXS Oar combines the responsive flex and durability of the MXS composite shaft with the reinforced construction of the DyneLite Extra Duty (XD) Oar Blade. Built for demanding whitewater rowing, this complete oar delivers a strong, durable setup for boaters who want added blade reinforcement without giving up the balanced feel of Sawyer's composite oar system.
The MXS Oar Shaft uses a fiberglass composite construction and comes standard with a rope wrap, rubber stop, and laminated fir barrel grip with a vinyl rubber grip cover. It is paired with the DyneLite XD Oar Blade, which combines carbon fiber and ash wood with heavy-duty fiberglass reinforcement. Full-perimeter Dynel and Kevlar Pro-Tip protection adds durability around the blade edges where contact with rocks and other river obstacles is most likely.
The Sawyer DyneLite XD MXS Oar includes one MXS Oar Shaft and one DyneLite XD Oar Blade for a complete oar. Choose a Narrow 6" or Wide 7" blade to match your rowing preferences and application.
Oar Length
Composite oar lengths are sized according to the fully assembled overall oar length with the 30" blade and handle attached. The Sawyer DyneLite XD MXS Oar is available in overall lengths from 8' to 10'. Choose your length based on boat width, oar tower position, and rowing setup.
